★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 售茶女士熱情有餘,態度不佳。應有阿里山的人文,沒有人文,人情味不香,茶葉焉香,茶湯焉金。可惜!
The lady selling tea is more than enthusiastic and has a bad attitude. There should be the humanities of Alishan, without humanities, the human taste is not fragrant, the tea is fragrant, and the tea is fragrant. unfortunately!

The very snobbish bosses attached to look down on young people, and obviously served another group of people to try tea (middle-aged), but they would not give us a try. Still say that there is no money, if the pocket is not deep enough, just try to buy the small package or tea bag in front. It is very angry. I don't want to spend money in this store.

The quality of the tea is good, but the attitude of the boss is not flattering. The snobbery even said that there is no such thing as a mistake in Taiwan, a money to buy our tea, and so on. It makes people feel that even if your tea quality is good, use this kind of attitude as a marketing strategy. The way, I really feel sorry for these good teas in my heart.

The proprietress is super-characteristic and only enters one group of guests at a time. When the second group of guests enters the door, the proprietress will invite the guests to come back later. If they do not want to leave, the proprietress may not be too good. Tea is a good tea. In such a popular scenic area, it is difficult to find a store that sells tourists at a reasonable price without slaughtering sheep.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!! The female boss is very snobish, cheap, and sneaky. She accused me of stealing her coffee machine part even though I clearly did not. She looks down on young people and thinks that everyone does not buy enough things. She is super sneaky and tricked my grandmother into telling her my whereabouts on the premise of me forgetting to take something but actually wanted me to pay for the coffee machine part I "supposedly" stole. Why would I want her coffee machine part anyway? IF YOU GO TO HER STORE AND SHE BROKE SOMETHING, SHE WILL ACCUSE IT UPON YOU!!!

Tl,Dr: like others have said, shopkeeper is a tea snob with the worst attitude about money and how visitors should spend it. Shopkeeper appears to be off her rocker, with some random rant about having lots of money and refused to serve us tea saying that her shop does not do this despite serving a family from California tea just before us.
Review: Shop is located near the Alishan visitor center, in a very touristy area of shops selling widgets and trinkets, just past the park entrance. Saw the shopkeeper serving tea to a small family before we entered. Thought this could be a good place to experience Alishan tea and buy a few kilos to take back home.
We were interested in their award winning tea but they're all pre packed in $2500-$5500 NTD gift sets. Like any culinary adventure I've had in the past (artisan coffee, estate grown wines, cigars, etc) I expected to be able to taste the tea or buy and experience a smaller version, before buying the entire package of "higher end tea". We asked but then shopkeeper said they do not offer a tea tasting prior to having to buy their tea. It shocked us as they clearly have multiple tea tables set up and that she was serving another family (from California mind you). We asked if they sold it in smaller packages (such as 100-150g) that we can buy and try their tea there prior to buying a larger package, or a tasting fee, etc and she refused. The shopkeeper then started this weird rant about having lots of money, insisting people buy tea based on how they feel and that if we don't have money, we should buy a lower grade tea bag or go away. She then said even if we went to a tea farm, we couldn't taste tea prior to buying 30 jings (approx 600g per Jing). Her shockingly rude and condescending attitude just pissed us off. Not only were we shocked to find this unwelcoming money-hungry shopkeeper who was clearly serving tea to fellow visitors from the United States, her demeanor is not representative of our experience in Alishan tea region as a whole. The people we've met have been friendly and informative but this shopkeeper is neither and should be avoided like the black plague. Overall, we had a great experience in Alishan to this point only to be tarnished by this rude encounter.
It is my personal belief that tea shopkeepers should not want customers leaving their premises not only disappointed that they could not experience the tea but also feelings of animosity toward their tea brand or anything that they stand for. If you don't want to serve tea to customers that's fine. State it, drop it. And leave it. Insisting your own philosophy about a visitor’s spending habits or evaluating a customer's financial flexibility is insulting to anyone. My only wish is their tea brand to suffer in 2018 and in generations to come, plagued by disease, bug infestations, improper tea harvesting (which can lead to damaged leaf production) and an overall unsuccessful tea crop productions. This shopkeeper ruins the Alishan tea experience for anyone visiting the Alishan region and should be ashamed for representing it like this in such a prominent location. Do not go here. Stay away!
