Zhongzheng Sports Center

This place has everything you need for a decent workout. Great for the price, 60nt for 1.5 hours. Some equipment is pretty old and worn but gets the job done. Is pretty busy when I go (usually between 9 and 11am) but not too bad.

Great price 60NT for 90 min, but you have to pay 10NT to use a locker. Must bring your own towel or you cannot enter the weight room. It was so busy around 6pm that every machine was full. Makes sense since it’s next to the university, but I’d look elsewhere for a public gym. Lots of machines and not much free weight equipment. No room to move around.

Clean and low cost. Only $50nt an hour for the gym. No masks required. They have other facilities like a swimming pool. Kids playground downstairs while you work out.

Great place to do archery. They have enough space compared to Sang Chong Sports Centre and they have electric targets that you don't need to walk to your target to get the arrows. $350 for an hour including bow and other things you need, extra hour only $50. Also the coach will be there to teach new players.

I play indoor basketball here every Saturday. Nice facility.

Great sports center. Many choice. Good quality. Good price. Good location. But only 2 elevators ... Best badminton court in Taipei

My first and last experience. When I go down to the pool, a lady follows me. She doesn't ask anything. So, I said I paid. Then, she asked, 'Can I help you. I said, 'Yes'. She saw what I was wearing. I went into the sauna and steam room. It was nice. Then I saw my friend. She didn't bring her goggles and asked for mine. So, I noticed another lifeguard looking at me. He then gets a swimming cap and tells me to use it instead. I said I have one like that but it affects my blood flow and the one I am using is looser. He says it's okay. After awhile 2 other lifeguards come and then give me no choice but to leave if I don't put their swimming cap on. I have used many pools in Taiwan with my cap. I requested that they let me stay for one time but they agreed and then refused. They gave my money back but wasted my time and mood. I went to relax. So, I think they are inhumane and also bad at business. I also shave my hair. If they have rules they must enforce it from the beginning. Not good. No respect for difference. Also, it is my way of life/culture to cover all of my head and I never show my head in public. I couldn't change the cap on the spot. A little respect for difference would go a long way. The female lifeguard shouts at people. She doesn't get that customers pay so she should be more humane. They lost six months worth of money from me. Educate yourselves about difference or at least be professional. Taiwanese study English for 12 years so that cannot be an excuse for people working at sports centers.
