隆恩堰與寶山水庫及寶山第二水庫聯合供應新竹地區用水，目前隆恩堰由經濟部水利署北區水資源局召集台灣自來水股份有限公司及臺灣省新竹農田水利會協商用水，並由新竹水利會、台灣自來水公司及北水局共同成立「頭前溪支流隆恩堰管理小組」負責辦理引水、維護及營運等事宜，豐水期每日約可供應20萬立方公尺原水。
Long'en Weir is a river blocking weir located in the middle reaches of Tauqian River in Hsinchu. Its main functions are public water supply and irrigation, and it is an important water resource in Zhubei and Zhudong.
Long'en Weir, Baoshan Reservoir and Baoshan Second Reservoir jointly supply water in Hsinchu area. Currently, Long'en Weir is convened by Taiwan Water Supply Co., Ltd. and Taiwan Hsinchu Farmland Water Conservancy Association to negotiate water use by the North District Water Resources Bureau of the Water Resources Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The Water Conservancy Association, the Taiwan Water Company and the North Water Bureau jointly set up the "Long'en Weir Management Team, a tributary of Touqian Stream" to handle matters such as water diversion, maintenance and operation. During the flood season, it can supply about 200,000 cubic meters of raw water per day.
