★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not too challenging 4km trail to the top. Cater at least 3 hours to the top and back. Able to view the ocean, Hualien and Ji An from the top, if not obscured by cloud cover.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Out of curiosity I climbed this path and it was very satisfying. In the beginning of the path I encountered a group of monkeys eating on top of the trees then on top of the path you will be able to obtain a view of the Hualien city which is literally breath taking. Great view and good for health!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Classic trail to come by!!! Took an hours to top. Although fourth& fifth look out desk was renovating but the view still stunning.if you got lucky could see many monkey jumping on trees. well maintained track with lovely views and a bit steep.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A well maintained and very popular paved trail trail at comfortable distance from Hualien city and Xincheng township, leading to beautiful views toward Hualien. I did the roundtrip in 1.5 hours at good walking pace up and half-running back down. I'd recommend to budget twice the time if you want more if a stroll. Plenty of parking, very accessible. If you just want a short hike before work or just as a fun start of the day, I recommend the neighboring trail across the bridge that leads to a Hawaii style waterfall!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ going to Waterfall is an easy climb...turn right and 500m you're there and a short uphill loop around.
other 3k hike is uphill and I feel it should be a 2 star difficulty than 1 star...but I'm not the one giving out the stars...good luck.
