★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 高雄説是最有名的客家人故事「芋姆婆仔」，從前傳說他的土地非常的多，從舊城東門出去直到凹子底、七孔橋地方，所有的土地，只要經過的地方，都是他們家的土地，由此就可以知道他擁有的土地有多麼多多麼一大片；就在凹子底那裡，他家建了一棟大房子稱為「芋姆婆仔厝」，房子非常大，差不多1,200坪，大家知道稍大的古厝也只有900多坪，所以可見當時他們是多麼的有錢；這個「芋姆婆仔厝」，據當時居住在那裡的客家人回憶，其實在日據時代就被拆了，所在位置現已被改建為學校，就是龍華國中的操場，所以這個地方只有想像那些流傳的故事。
