★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friend and I couldn't read the menu and I barely spoke Mandarin but the woman was so nice and she recommended a bowl of noodles and a bowl of soup. She even came and mixed the noodles for us. Came out to NT$170 for 4 bowls of food

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Plain noodles with scallion & it tastes awesome! Soup dumpling has sizable meat inside. For the portion, price is very very competitive.
Simple place, family business. Store owner is very friendly & seems to know everyone. Many return customers. Will not be surprised that some customers grew up eating their food..
Not a stroller/ wheelchair friendly place as store is situated 2 high steps up from the pavement. There is no ramp to push up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My first visit to this historical noodle shop. Noodle contains nothing else but the traditional flavor of flour, green onions, and oil. Medium rare egg nicely match the noodle with black vinegar, chili oil, and dried chili. Fish balls are fine, not yet impressive to me.
One shortcoming in lukewarm soup temperature. All others are well done.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is truly one of my best breakfast experience in Taipei!!! They have no english menu but the aunty was so nice and helpful! I really really love this place. If you come here, go for the dry noodle, they’re very springy and aromatic with shallot and lard oil, and then you can sprinkle it with their amazing pickled veggie and dreamy chilli! lovely! And then also order some side dishes, i particularly lovveee the pig’s ear, it sounds disgusting but they prepared it impeccably, the ears were very clean and crispy and extremely flavorful. The pork soup for me was so-so in flavour, but it was a nice way to smooth everything down. Please don’t miss this place for an authentic, un-fancy and no-frill Taipei breakfast experience.
