★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pier 5 was previously not great… those days have changed. They totally revamped the space and have added loads of seating and new food and drink options. The new space, on a sunny day, is the perfect spot to take in the sun.

Lots of restaurants and bar options facilities bf to the river.
And don’t go their if hasn’t rain for a long time, the river will smell like dead fish.

Some beer store that you can buy and enjoy the nigh scenery nearby the river. Not so close to the MRT but still in the walkable are

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DaDaoCheng is a good place to enjoy your outdoor life in the city. The dock is by Tamsui river. You can rent a bike or ride a Ubike along the river all the way to Tamsui or take a boat to get to Tamsui from here.
On the river side, there is a container market selling snacks, pizza and beer. You can sit on the roof of containers or get a seat by the river. The city should make more places like this by the river. Come here in the afternoon, enjoy the river view and the sunset.
