Daqian Department Store was established on the once prosperous Yanping North Road. It was founded in the mid-1990s, and it was the same as Baoqing Road Far East Department Store and Zhonghua Road First Department Store. Daqian Department Store is nearly 50 meters wide and quite impressive. At that time, it introduced new escalator facilities. At the opening, it attracted people from the central and southern regions to visit, which also promoted the rise of the department store industry. Later, due to changes in urban development, Dadaocheng gradually declined. In 1990, Daqian Department Store actually blew the lights out. This suspension was not designated as a historical building by the Taipei City Government until 2006. The restoration was completed in 2013. The street house next to the right wing of Daqian Department Store, No. 13, Section 2, Yanping North Road, was built in 1939. In 1957, it was operated by the Puli Longxi Li family. "ABC Aimei Silk Cloth" was transformed into an "ABC Aimei clothing store" in the 1970s. The processed products are exported for export, witnessing Dadaocheng embroidery tools and imported foreign products, and also designated as a historic building by the Taipei City Government in 2016.

Historical site plus cultural creation, rich in content

Daqian Department Store, which has witnessed the prosperity of Dadaocheng in the past, can be said to be the originator of Taiwan's self-operated department store. After being registered as a historical building, its architectural facade has been preserved intact. In the 1960s and 1970s, on Yanping North Road in Taipei City, there were many silver houses, cloth shops, and pastry shops. At that time, most Taipei people who were about to get married would come here to buy. Daqian Department Store, which opened on April 17, 1970, is located at the intersection of Yanping North Road and Nanjing West Road in Taipei City. It is located in an important section of the Dadaocheng area that was once prosperous. It is a large-scale five-block street building, which is simple The modernist form retains the typical facade form along Yanping North Road during the Japanese Occupation, and its building facade adopts classical symmetrical form. On the opening day of Daqian Department Store, Yang Lihua, the superstar of the year, was invited to cut the ribbon, making the entire Dadaocheng crowded and crowding the nearby roads. Daqian Department Store has more than 300 employees. The mall has a storefront of nearly 50 meters, including six stores at No. 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, Section 2, Yanping North Road, and No. 6-1, Lane 185, Nanjing West Road. The area is much wider than ordinary businesses, the appearance is very magnificent, and the interior is equipped with novel facilities such as escalators, which attracts many people from the central and southern regions to visit specially. The department stores are equally famous. Later, due to the eastward movement of Taipei's business district, Dadaocheng gradually declined. The time-honored Daqian Department Store finally closed in 1990, ending its short history of 20 years. On July 25, 2005, Daqian Department Store was registered as a historical building by the Taipei City Cultural Bureau and was restored, leaving a piece of mud for the development of the local area.
