Amazing quality for this price! Have visited twice and will still come back :) highly recommended if you’re looking for authentic omakase in Taipei for a reasonable price!!

We went this Sushi bar when it grand opened in November 2019. We had an 20 courses omakase for NT$2500, which were presented artistically and delicious. All fishes flew in from Japan Early morning of the same day. Sushi was handed from Chef One by one and never put it on the plate to keep the right temperature. I think this is by far the best sushi place in Taipei. I went in for lunch today a NT1200 set, it was still the same quality and some local fishes, prepared and presented beautifully. I predicted this one will be Michelin starred in the next a few years. Highly recommended.

I had the 3500NTD dinner set and was sorely disappointed. For the price, you can find much, much better options in Taipei. Dishes came out sporadically, we had a 40 minute wait in between some of our courses! The most outrageous thing was that they forgot 2 of my friends' courses until after they had already been served the dessert (ice cream); instead of owning up to the mistake the waitress claimed it to be "on the house"... if that was the case why was it only given to the two people that ordered 4500NTD sets? Mistakes happen, own up to them, don't tell us you're gifting us something and then make us wonder why only two people at the table got complimentary courses. The food that WAS served on time was 'fine'. Nothing to write home about, especially with the price considered. The salmon roe rice was also given to us luke-warm. Portion sizes were also fairly small, even after accounting for the nature of Japanese fine dining. I was still hungry after the 2.5 hours (due to the weird timings of dishes) I spent here. Overall it was an extremely underwhelming experience, the food was lacking and overpriced, courses came out randomly, and the entire "on the house" debacle left a sour tase in our mouths. I would've felt cheated had I paid 2000NTD, let alone 3500. Side note: the restaurant's response to one of the other negative reviews is laughably unprofessional. If a patron has complaints and/or is unhappy about their experience at the restaurant, you do not go on about how "you have no idea how hard it is to run a japanese restaurant/make fine dining Japanese food". Take the criticism on the chin and do better, if people give you their hard-earned cash for a decent meal, they are allowed to expect a decent meal.

Omasake served by young Taiwanese chef over counter. Limited seating, it was full house when we had our lunch there. Chose the TWD1,600 set... and it was well worth it! We loved every piece served by the Chef. Would definitely be back when we visit Taipei again.

The sushi-ya you must visit in Taipei. Delicate dishes presented by young and passionate Taiwanese chef Wen with very reasonable price. Comparable quality to Michelin-starred Japanese restaurants with more personal touch and creativity. It will be one of the hottest tables in town for sure.

Upscale traditional style Japanese sushi with 2 chiefs choice tasting menu. 1-star Michelin. I was hoping for little more for a Michelin restaurant and for the high price point… but if you are cool with old school style instead of modern, then it be ok. The progression of the dishes was good except for the end. The end with desert was very underwhelming and average sesame ice cream (kinda what you would find in any average Taiwanese hot pot restaurant). I was hoping for a better end of dining experience.
