Best Karaoke bar in Taiwan

T	Tetsuma Ozawa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to go for a great karaoke! Its centered around japanese songs, but also has decent amount of english songs too compared to chinese song based ktvs.
J	Jeff Yeung on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the only KTV places in Taipei with a good collection of newer English songs, so if you're bored of the oldies at Partyworld, this is the place to go. They also have a lot of Japanese and Korean songs. They do close early though, so be prepared to be kicked out at 10pm sharp. Their KTV system is decent and I highly recommend this place if you're looking for more song variety. The owner is pretty grumpy though, but I think he's like that with everyone.

Although the machine (they had JOYSOUND) is not as new as you see in Tokyo, the system as updated and we could sing newest English/Japanese/K-POP songs (Vietnamese/Tagalog/Bahasa was NOT available). Fair variety of Chinese songs, but of course, not as many as you see in local KTV in Taipei.

S	Stephany Snyman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This shop has no signs on the building or on the door, but it’s on the 2nd floor of no.16. Pay after you sing. We went on a Thursday after 6pm and it cost around $270 for an hour for the room we chose (2 adults). The guy at the counter (owner?) wasn’t very smiley or friendly, but he tends to customers’ needs quickly. They have a large selection of Japanese and English songs. You select songs on a panel/tablet, which could be passed around, unlike the traditional one, where one has to sit at a computer close to the front to do so. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean. Sound proof system might not be so great, as you can hear people’s singing (relatively loud) when you walk down the corridor. However, we couldn’t hear any sound coming from the other rooms once we were in ours (then again, the rooms next to us were empty as well). I give this place a 4.8 out of 5.

Although incomparable to the sound systems used in the top karaokes in Japan, the sound system is still better than the other karaokes I've been to in Taipei. The con is that the walls are thin and the sound insulation is not the best. The microphone loses signal at times too, but they have a backup wired microphone in case it happens. They have many Japanese and English songs ranging from old to recent. This karaoke uses the DAM and Joysound systems. The receptionist was polite and straightforward. The price was very cheap too. Highly recommend this place for singing Japanese/English songs.
L	Lexi Yeh on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Even though it's mainly well-known for its broad catalogue of Japanese songs, it's also has the best catalogue of English songs among KTVs in Taipei. People are allowed to bring their own drinks and pay a cheap cleaning fee afterwards. The owner wasn't the most friendly or hospitable, but I'd say the service is still slightly better than EST (closed) based on our experience.
