Best Breakfast restaurant in Taiwan

S	Soo Ee on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to start the day with. Hospitable and warm staff. After landing the bowl of hot 咸豆浆 on my table, a jolly looking lady made me a recommendation to eat with the chilli paste. It was later that I learnt the chilli was house made, most things except for their 油条 and noodles are made in house. The salty dou jiang don’t look too appetising but do not judge a dj by its cover. Filled with crispy you tiao, 菜宝，I suspect beancurd and egg.

M	Merlin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best breakfast that we had in Taipei during our trip. Went around 9.30am on a weekday and there was no queue though there were still a few customers in the shop. The soya milk and buns were terrific, I’d wholeheartedly recommend the sour bean bun with egg - don’t really see it being sold at other places. The staff were very friendly and chatty as well and helped us with the ordering.

They have a special sauce but I also didn't find that all that interesting. The lion head meatball is what they're famous for. Not really worth my carb in take here... Too bad.

The shop has been around for a long time, here they serve a traditional Taiwanese breakfast with various options to choose from. Went on a weekend, we were lucky to be seated right away and got the orders really fast. We tried the lions head shaobin (meatball sandwich), jiangdou dangbin (long bean egg pancake) and xingian pork dangbin, all of them were simply delicious! Good flavors and awesome textures, must try the chilly pastes on the side!
T	Tammy Liu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Popular, not typical, quite a large variety of selections, but based of similar main ingredients, synch as the meat balls, baked pastries and soy bean milk. Prices are very reasonable, good sized. Unfortunately, as some have said, most items came "warm”, not hot. They tasted okay, with fresh ingridents, but not delicious, not great.
