★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very classic “boiled fish” with good amount of meet on the top. The portion size is great for four people if one order extra plate of meat. If one doesn’t eat spice, I think the sesame oil flavor would be great too. A very good place for a group gathering. Plz reserve before going.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Randomly try new place for lunch nearby IKEA Dunhua Store. As we’re craving for something hot n spicy, we bumped into this place [Charcoal Grilled Fish]. They sell grilled fish with different kinds of broth, and you can order any additional dishes to put inside. As we’re not really starving, we ordered mala grilled fish, three bowl of rice is a must and fish ball for our appetizer. Portion was big, it suits for 4-5 people i guessed. Mala broth was super delicious, it got the spiciness and taste great compare to general mala hotpot till we sipped all the broth to the end. Price was bit high for us, and it was the only drawbacks. Really worth to try, but is it worth to comeback? You guys rate yourself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ China spicy fish. Very popular in China. Fish was thick and tender even though it's not a expensive fish. I don't like their atmosphere because it looks like a club. Too much shiny light. Service was just average. Waitress was standing on the side which gave us lots of pressure when you not ready to order.
We ordered sour and spicy fish with a extra pork and combination small items. The portion was perfect for 3 people. Sour veggie was not sour. It's actually salty. Pork was tasty. Worth the price.
Overall, it's a high cp value restaurant at this location. I would give another try if I have a chance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very delicious! I will say this is pretty spicy for my American taste buds lol! (I got the medium spicy fish dish and it got pretty spicy)
Excellent presentation. Decent price. Super fun to come with friends and family.
Great spot for lunch!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food here is very nice but it can be too salty for some people (it is salty for me as well). But you can add more water if it’s too salty for you. It is not that affordable. Had to spend around 1200ish only for the fish and 2 bowls of rice.
The fish doesn’t have lots of meat but the fried chicken was delicious. Would come again in the future.

I love it exactly this spicy.
But for Taiwanese friends I recommend to choose the mildest and least salty version. Remember that Sichuan pepper makes all food taste saltier.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food. The roasted fish is nice. The roasted pork ribs is my personal favourite.
Food for thought - do order the soup base right. I strongly suggest beginners to take the 薄盬（not the 台灣一般，definitely not the 四川囗味）,it is already spicy enough for an average Taiwanese to enjoy the spicy dish。
