★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Its one of those places you should try but maybe won't go back for seconds.
Taste = 4 stars
Ambience = 2.5 stars
Service = 3 stars

So 3 stars it is :) This restaurant's unique aspect is that the noodles are hand made so the noodle are great! But the Brooth needs work! As for the beef it wasn't too bad (4). But as for the pig feet well portion was awesome but the texture wasn't all the way through and the prep work for the skin wasn't complete. Just another hole in the wall which was OK if your in the area but not enough for you to travel there!
~Onto another quest to find that authentic unique taste I call food!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of meat for 130NT (small beef noodle) and abundant delicious noods. The meat was mostly tender and loved the soft chewy bits with tendon.
The lineup on weekdays during lunch and dinner is intense. They run out of ingredients soon after the lunch rush and it takes about 3pm for the next batch to be ready. If you don't want to lineup, aim for the 3pm mark on a weekend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The pork ankle that comes with the soup noodles is really second to none. It is massive!!! Doesn't matter what you get there, the guy running the place is working very very hard to make sure everything is top-notch. The price is only about 130 for each kind of noodle they make, the C/P value at this place is through the roof. Everything is quality. I've been coming to this place for 7 or 8 years and it's never failed. Everything used to be cooked on the outside by the papa, but I guess for some reason or another things got changed around. I can't recommend this place enough. It's worth the wait in line if there is one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Literally a hole-in-the-wall but about as good a bowl of Taiwanese beef noodle as you can buy for NTD120 in Taipei. Get there early as there is always a line.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It has been around for several decades, and from father to son. Nowadays, it is mostly the son who is the cook on the premises. This is one of the very traditional mainland China style noodle shop. They make their own noodles, and are super generous with the serving. The menu is very simple all these whole that you can have either the signature beef noodles where the soup base is brewed for hours, or the noodles with humongous pork knuckles. For people with smaller appetites, a small bowl of noodles with shredded pork can be considered, which costs just ntd80, and u will get plenty of noodles, pork and shredded cucumbers, yum!!
The hygiene here is typically not good. The owner simply doesn't have time to clean up either as there's always a long queue. Takeout can be considered since their noodles are thick enough that they wont go soggy by the time u have to consume at home.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking at a clean and proper place, this is not it, however if you want one of the best noodles in Taipei, this is a must!
Second generation restaurant, the soup noodles and beef noodles are both superb. Portion size is very generous and pricing is pretty cheap.
The building itself is old, and may not be the cleanest, but definitely worth a try!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have to say, the best dishes don't have to come from a fancy restaurant. The zhajiang daoxiamian here was ?. If you want the atmosphere and vibes of a restaurant, you won't find that here, but if you want a good bowl of noodles (it's the knife cut thick chewy type) you should definitely stop by. A bit oily, but isn't that what 炸醬麵 is supposed to be?
