★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food here is great! Definitely will come back again for more. If you are here, make sure to order their bun with meat (刈包). It’s really good. And the fishball soup is good too. They are located in the corner of the street. You won’t miss it with google directions. I would say a bit of a distance walk from the Ximending station. But worth a try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went at 1030am and already at least 9-10 people queueing in front of me. Staff were really efficient though and I waited maybe just 10-15 mins for my turn. They were really friendly too and gave Me more sauces without any hesitant - can see why this place is a Michelin Bib Gourmand place. The braised pork rice is a definite crowd pleaser, but the Guabao was the one that stood out the most. Sweet, crunchy and flavourful. The rice pudding was a bit more average. Only 110 NT for these 3 items and portions are huge. Incredible value for money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cheap and delicious guabao, pork and chicken rice. The only problem is it’s always too crowded and takes long time to get food. Better to dine in rather than take out because take out takes longer. It’s also available on Uber eats but slightly more expensive.

The lard with rice is fantastic. And soup is also excellent.
The queue is long but the service is still very nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fatty pork bun (Gua bao) — excellent. Fatty pork combined with peanut powder and sugar basically melts in your mouth. Kind of like eating a meat ice cream.
Flying meat rice (Kong rao fun) — great. Has the fatty meat and combined with vegetables and other stuff.
Braised pork rice (ru rao fun) — good, but not much meat. Better to get the kong rao fun instead.
Rice cake — good
Fish ball soup — ok

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best pork rice bowl I had ever had. The pork can be customise, more fat or thinner. I prefer thinner. The spicy dry raddiwish is very tasty as well. The waiting line is for take out. Eat inside is very fast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favorite affordable meal in ximending- 焢肉饭. Tried the 卤肉饭，刈包 but none satisfies like the 焢肉饭. Ordered twice over ubereats.This is truly soul food- melt in your mouth slice of braised pork belly, a slight kick with some chilli. The pickled cucumber & vegetables and tofu complement the rice bowl.
I can now see why they got the bib gourmand. Maybe they should get a michelin star.
