★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I tried both Ay Chung and Chen Ji right after one another and I'm pleased to say that Chen Ji is far away and beyond the better bowl of "mee sua" or "noodle threads". (And the best I've ever had).
It's so homey and they serve fresh oysters (unlike the other place) and they properly braise the intestines, resulting in a much more flavourful bite (unlike the other place). Higher quality food, higher quality ingredients and tastes amazing. Best part? Same price!
Limited seating areas and please don't bring your dine in bowl to the other shops nearby (easy to get confused).
It was so good I ordered another bowl immediately. Definitely worth a trip here and I'm going to have another bowl before I fly off tomorrow.

This shop sells Mee sua with 大肠 and oysters. However you could request not to add the 大肠/oysters/ just Mee sua only. Flexible and polite owners.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best traditional Taiwanese style mee sua that I have tried in Taiwan. Mee sua soup come with raw oyster, braised pig stomach. You can order big bowl that cost NT$75 or small bowl at NT$55. The best thing was the ingredients provided per any size your ordered is very generous and fresh. Topping up with the mince garlic, Chili paste and vinegar will blow you out.. yummy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Giant oysters. Tell them "eat in" / "eat out" (內用/ 外帶）, big/ small， and additional request like less garlic, less spicy, vinegar etc. But there's condiments on the table for you to add later too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice man xian or rice vermicelli… it only cost you for 75 twd for a jumbo size. Super reasonable price… and most important of all, it taste great!!! Will definitely come again for this dish… oh, and their chili sauce is self-made which enhance their dish taste furthermore… but do be careful with the chili sauce as it can get pretty spicy for those who can't stand it…

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ intestines so soft and tender. the broth was on the slightly salty side for me, and although nothing really special about the oysters, overall i found it worth to take time to come to this place. it's a simple bowl of noodles but you could feel the amount of work behind each separate ingredients and the generosity of oysters and intestines. customers were ordering takeaways by the 5 and 10 bowls, most of them locals.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Getting there. Take the blue line to LongShan temple station, take exit 2, take a left turn and walk straight , cross the road. It’s a really short walk, less than 5mins.
There’s 3 variations to choose from...
1) Plain (my fav)
2) Either with Oysters or Pig intestines
3) The works (with both Oysters and intestines)
Comes in 2 sizes small or large.
I highly recommend to pair your vermicelli with a grilled pork sausage from the store next door.. every time I’m craving for this dish I come here , it’s a very nice place to soak up the local ambiance and enjoy a local dish at the same time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A small hole in the wall shop but plenty of seating around. Popular with locals as well as tourists. The bowl is chock full of oysters and braised intestines. You can ask for either just oysters or intestines if you do not like any of them. There are Condiments like vinegar and chilli sauce on the table if you are dining in, otherwise ask for the level of spiciness if you are taking away. Very delicious, must try!
