The historical building that was repaired and completed in early 1999 has been a bit worn out from the current point of view. The interior decoration is Chinese style. There is no resurgence. The content of the exhibits is ordinary. However, the best place to see is the old street model on the second floor and the famous street house facade. Before heading to the Three Gorges Old Street, come here to know the Three Gorges National Eggplant Winter Corridor facing the right side of the building is beautiful and has the potential for IG beautiful photos

I was here for the history of Sanxia, the building looking nice and the entrance staff was dutifully checking visitors' temperature and making sure we all logged in properly. Two floors were open to public, currently the first floor had some porcelain exhibition, I believed they were artworks mostly by students; and the second, the Sanxia history. The first floor, with those porcelain, I didn't find them Sanxia-ish, but the staircase which led to second floor does, so far, the only object I find historical. I didn't take any photos on second floor, because there was a sign. I had a mixed view about the history exhibition. They were old, but they also seem disorganized, I really didn't know what aspect of Sanxia that I was seeing when I moved onto next little section. There was a couple, and the woman was verbally expressing the same feeling that I had just felt. I couldn't tell until I overheard their conversation, then I realized that's how I felt about this exhibition. Something, that seem unrelated, jumped out as the next item, and you don't know exactly why they are here or why they are related, if any, or if the exhibition only wants you to see another new section. Lack of maintenance, this is a huge issue. You can see the showcase is old and likely handcrafted, they were put in effort long ago. Perhaps around 1999, I guess. Then there was one piece (not limited to), a historical contract/document, the first known or oldest surviving contact, that was at least two hundred years old, IIRC. I could see mildew spots on the underlay paper sheet, also on the contract. Whoever lend that piece to the museum should get it back and store it properly as soon as possible.
