It’s a pity that there was a president but it was not well maintained, the roof and walls collapsed, and the grass grew very long.

The birthplace of the father of Taiwan's democracy is just a lack of maintenance. Hope Taiwan will be better, come on Taiwan.

The place where President Lee Teng-hui used to live, many households nearby have been deserted. There is a farmer’s market nearby, a very comfortable place suitable for peaceful walks ♥

The old house is in disrepair and not worth visiting.
It's just the place where former President Lee's relatives (ancestors) lived when he was a child.
Otherwise, how could it be left in such disrepair and damaged.
Maybe wait for a new building to be built later.
Personally, I think the nearby visitor center is more attentive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting if you know anything about Lee Teng-Hui.
Up to a point.
The visitor centre is airy and light on detail. Not really worth going of your way but stop by if you are in Sanzhi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Former president of the Republic of China (Taiwan) aka Taiwan's father of democracy Mr. Lee Teng-hui's birthplace and residence. There's also a memorial museum and tourist center nearby. In springtime, around early February, there are cherry blossoms around. Mr. Lee used to receive Japanese education while Taiwan was the colony of Japan before World War II. I think cherry blossoms aka Japan's national flower somehow reflects Mr. Lee's early background here.
