★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You got off on the wrong station or you came here for the hot spring. Doesn't matter. You are here in Yilan and you are hungry. And you are looking for an authentic place where the locals eat. Then this is your place. They got fresh seafood, local vegetables and beer. And they know how to cook them. So what else do you want. Relax and let your fingers do all the talking. Look around your neighbors and point to the dishes you like. If you don't know what they are, don't bother asking questions. You won't like it any more even if you get answer. Just enjoy a wonderfully cooked and inexpensive meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went at 5pm sharp to reserve a table for 7pm as it was near our hotel. Lady staff remembered us and was quick in providing a table.
We couldn't really read the Chinese menu and hence used Google photos to order our food.
Absolutely delicious and fresh seafood. Homely flavours yet super tasty.
We had the salted egg bittergourd dish with fried anchovies, which is a must try.
The fresh squid and the fried cuttlefish dishes were super tasty too. The batter of the fried cuttlefish was not too thick and carried a nice tinge of salt and pepper.
The baby oysters in oyster sauce was generous in portion and super tasty. Drizzle the sauce over your rice and you are good to go.
They gave us a complimentary appetizer, which was a type of vegetable with mayo and bonito flakes. Damn it was delicious.
Overall, super affordable, fresh, homely and tasty seafood options as well as interesting and delicious vegetable dishes.
