The locals of the Guanghe Palace are called the "Royal Palace", but they do not worship the beliefs of the five grand masters, such as Chitose, and they worship the King of Sanshan, because the Hakkas call the King of Sanshan "The King". Because King Sanshan has a unique belief for the Hakkas, the Hakkas also brought this belief into Taiwan after relocating to Taiwan. Therefore, Guanghe Palace is also the center of Hakkas' beliefs in Xinpu, and it is also one of the famous temples in the local area. [Temple History] Guangpu Palace in Xinpu was built in the decade of Xianfeng (1860 AD) by local gentry Pan Rongguang. Twenty-one years after Guangxu (1895 AD), the Japanese army under Taiwan, and during the "Royalization Movement" carried out by Japan in Taiwan, the Guanghe Palace was burnt down, and reconstruction was not completed until 35 years of Meiji (1902 AD). In the eighth year of the Republic of China (8th year of the Taisho era, 1919 AD), the Guanghe Palace was expanded by Cai Jiguang, and it was not completed until the eighteenth year of the Republic of China. The current temple appearance was rebuilt in the 75th year of the Republic of China. [Legend of Worship] King Sanshan was originally the native god of the three states of Chao, Hui and Mei in Guangdong Province, but as the Hakkas immigrated to Taiwan, they were asked to accompany them and gradually became the patron saint of Hakkas in Taiwan. "Three mountains" means the three high mountains to the west of Linpo Duhepo Market, Jieyang County, Chaozhou, Guangdong Province (now Hepo Town, Jiexi County, Jieyang City), namely Mingshan, Jinshan and Dushan. Stone worship of nature. Regarding the origin of King Sanshan, there are many oral legends from the folk. The most widely spoken saying is that it was said that Emperor Song Di was chased by Yuan soldiers in Chaozhou in the late Southern Song Dynasty. At the time of crisis, three black and white red faces were suddenly seen. Strong men come to rescue. The three of them stopped in a block and immediately repelled all the Yuan soldiers and rescued Emperor Song Yong. When Emperor Song Yu was going to ask for his name and thank him, the three rushed towards the three mountains not far away, and then disappeared. Song Emperor looked up at the mountain and saw the three mountains appear black and red, just like that The three strong men, Emperor Song Di believed that the three strong men were deified by the mountains, so they were named "kings of the three mountains." [Features] The biggest feature of Guanghe Palace is the "competition" on the building. This is the same as the Wanhui Palace in Wandan Township, Pingtung County. It is based on the central axis, and the left and right wood carvings are constructed by two groups of masters, so The left and right suspenders, bird stands, and Leo are different, so they come from different masters.

In the 21st year of Guangxu (1895), the Japanese army attacked Taiwan, and Guanghe Palace was burned down. The reconstruction was completed only in the 35th year of Meiji (1902). In the 8th year of the Taisho era, Cai Jiguang expanded it and rebuilt it, and it took ten years to complete the Sanjin Hall seen today. It was renovated again in 1975. Guanghe Palace is the largest temple on Xinpu Street. In the early days, there was a square in front of the temple. Most important activities on the street were held here, and it was once glorious!

It is said that Guanghe Palace was once selected as a place of concentration of gods during the Japanese occupation period, mainly at that time. It was the most important religious center of Xinpu townspeople. Guanghe Palace, located in the center of the downtown area, worshiped King Sanshan. To worship King Guangze and give birth to mother-in-law, the era of Japanese occupation was the largest temple in Xinpu Town.

The remaining cultural buildings are well preserved, and the carvings, paintings, and color schemes are different from other Taoist temples. The sacrificial kings of the Three Mountains are the gods of the Hakkas. And unlike the general temple, there is no railing and other isolation, it can be very close to God, and there will be no unnecessary obstacles to taking pictures. The picture is pure and beautiful.

The most special thing here is that its architecture is a pair of wood carvings Opposition refers to the construction process of Chinese-style buildings, and the left and right sides are constructed by different architects individually. Generally, the temples are set against the left and right, but Guanghe Palace is not. How can you not come for a pilgrimage so special?
