There is a giant cypress on the top of the Shimada mountain, and there is a chance to enjoy the beauty of the sea of ​​​​clouds. This section of the mountain is often called "Takashima Long Walk". When going down the mountain, you can choose a relatively gentle waist detour (the guard road during the Japanese occupation) to return to Gaotai Mountain. The whole journey is more than 1000 meters above sea level, with a variety of different terrains, landscapes and forest phase changes. Stepping on the thick pine needles or deciduous mountain trails is like stepping on a soft natural carpet, even in the middle of summer. , is the best choice for single-day vertical walking. On the return journey, you will leave the forest earlier on the second trailhead, because the section of the forest going down the mountain is often muddy and unexplored in the wet season, making it difficult to walk, and the hem of your trousers and shoes will be covered with mud.

The cedar forest is very comfortable and beautiful. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery during the walk while crawling uphill. Let us take 1-2 hours longer than originally planned. But it's definitely worth it. There is a chance, I hope I can camp.
