Caoluo Dunes The first time I heard this place, I heard that it has been popular on IG for a long time. It is the most complete sand dune in Taiwan and is currently designated as a sand dune geopark. Known as the "Taiwan version of the Sahara Desert", the Caoluo sand dunes are formed by the accumulation of drifting sand blown to the land by the strong northeast monsoon and southerly winds. There is a row of wind turbines on the shore. Although it is a geopark, it looks a bit dirty and unmaintained. It's a pity. The sand is fine in texture and there are many fences around the dunes to keep the sand away. The height of the sand dunes is very high, up to 15 meters.
