In 1949, the medical education environment in Taiwan was not very good. Apart from the National Taiwan University Medical School, there was only one private medical school in the south. Therefore, at that time, a group of people who loved traditional Chinese medicine, including Mr. Qin Qin, Chen Gu, and Mr. Chen Gongyan, initiated the ambition of taking traditional Chinese medicine in Taiwan. Mr. Chen Gu, a traditional Chinese medicine physician in Taichung City, donated him to the north of Taichung City. A piece of land in the district is the site of the current school, and Qin Qin was promoted as the first chairman of the board. In the past 50 years, he has experienced five chairmanships including Yang Zhaojia, Wang Depu, Xie Dongmin, and Mr. Chen Lifu. On March 18, 1990, the Japanese school held a board of directors, and all the directors unanimously elected Director Cai Changhai as the 14th chairman of the school. Chairman Cai is a graduate of the school's 12th Department of Medicine and was awarded a doctor of medicine from Teikyo University in Japan. After graduating from university, he served in Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. Because of his love for his alma mater, he accepted the invitation of the Taichung Affiliated Hospital Wang Tingfu to return to his alma mater. After taking over as the second dean of the Taichung affiliated hospital of our school, he found that the medical resources in the central area were not so abundant. Patients had to go to Taipei when they were seriously ill. Therefore, the husband medical building was expanded during his tenure, and famous doctors from various departments in China were invited to serve in the hospital. Improve the quality of medical care in Central China. In 1989, it was appraised as a medical center by the Department of Health. Now it has become the best medical center in Central China. Since Chairman Tsai took over the position of Chairman, the school has been governed by alumni "Committed to the reform of medical education, improving the quality of teaching, creating a good learning environment, cultivating outstanding medical talents, improving the overall academic image and status, and establishing an integration of Chinese and Western culture, excellence and excellence. A high-performance Chinese medical system is the concept." Under its wise leadership, it was approved by the Ministry of Education in August 1992 and was renamed "China Medical University".
