It was just past 9:30 on weekdays, and the side door and the gate were not open at this time. You can only look at the exterior of the building along the fence. Very quiet feeling!

The Dunpu school's ancestral hall "Dunluntang" is in Dingqilao
The gate of Dunluntang is not facing the ancestral hall, but at the lower right corner of the ancestral hall. The bricks of the gate tower pillars are black, which is different from the color of the bricks of the ancestral hall.
Dunluntang was built in the 4th year of Daoguang (CE 1824) as a traditional two-entry courtyard building in southern Fujian. The front hall adopts a concave plane, no eaves pillars are provided, and the front point gold pillars are used as gate pillars, condensing a compact front space. The front hall is connected to the main hall by two compartments on both sides, and the main hall is handled in an open hall style. The front hall and the main hall are single-eave dovetail ridge tile roofs. The roof ridges are straighter than normal temples, only slightly raised at the wing corners, and the return belt and the main ridge are slightly retracted inwardly, which has a visually tight band effect.
Compared with ordinary temples, this ancestral hall does not have much cut and glued decorations. It presents a simple, solemn and simple feeling. This is actually a very Zhangzhou style. Although it has three openings, the main entrance in the middle is closed tightly, allowing visitors to see two extremely detailed door gods. Compared with other ancestral halls of the Hong surname, Dunlun Hall has been renovated less, so it is more intact and still maintains its primitive style. As early as the Republic of China in 1982 (CE 1993), it was listed as a third-class monument preserved by the Ministry of the Interior. It is the pole of Nantou Valuable private ancestral hall.

The national three-level historic site, founded in 1824, has a history of nearly 200 years. You can visit through the gatehouse on the right. There are usually no personnel on site, but there are books to sign in. The layout is a courtyard building.
