★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Get the chicken soup here! It's so simple yet complex! Aralia cordata (土當歸) is the Chinese herb that it is stew with. It's flavor like no other! There is a bug dish my father ordered, for protein he says. Personally it does look like a well flavored dish with garlic, red pepper, green onion and peanut. I still refused to touch...
They have noodle soup with the noodle being made with rice, I think the noodle was made in house. it is a special here, I believe.

Edited: 19 Dec 2019. Revisited again, still as great the dish. Added photo of the fish, my favourite here! Add their chili for best taste btw! ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite a long way but a beautiful and very scenic drive (on a clear day) to this restaurant. It’s one of the most popular and famous restaurants in the area, but honestly quite touristy...
It claims to be authentic Yunnan cuisine, but I find it more localized to suit the Taiwanese tastes. Some dishes are unique and hard to find else where, but nothing really worth the drive up just for the food.
The noodle soups are ok, the famous fish dish (stuffed with herbs and spices) was ok and the cured meats/sausage platter was... ok.
Nothing wrong and lots of people like it, and I guess because of its popularity, ingredients are all fresh and that’s always a good thing :)

We ordered the beef soup, the tomato pork noodles and fresh cabbage with (wrapping) stir fried pork.
The beef soup is refreshing with a mint flavor. It comes with a specialty source. A very unique flavor which we love it.
Fresh cabbage with stir fried pork is super great combination. The stir fried pork is a little spicy with herbs taste while the fresh cabbage is refreshing. The combination is just awesome! Worth trying.
While the tomato pork noodle is a quite normal. A little under my expectation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There have there own parking space , if you go there during lunch or dinner time, you might have to wait around 20-40 mins. However, you can stay at their waiting place with wonderful view ! Meal is nice abs the portion is also perfect. Definitely recommend to go
