The Mingjian Shanjue Temple is an ancient temple in Nantou County. At the beginning, a Su Fa Yuan was promoted from the Lingyin Temple in Jiangsu Province, mainland China. He wears a Buddha statue, floats to Taiwan, and pheasant builds the foundation. During this time, he experienced more than ten abbots. In the forty-ninth year of the Republic of China (1960), the Huilian nun master Zhuo Xiben Temple felt that since the establishment of the late Qing Dynasty, the temples were scattered, the temple beams were destroyed, and the rebuilding of the temple was issued. Official document No. 7069 was approved, and the name was changed to Shanjue Temple. In the winter of the 60th year of the Republic of China (1971), it was relocated from the old site to the current site of Nanxin Street in Nantou, occupying two second-tier and second-tier areas. In 1973, the main hall was completed and officially seated. The main hall is called Yuantong Hall, which enshrines the Dharma image of Guanyin Bodhisattva. According to the inscription in the temple, the Shanjue Temple was founded in the sixtieth year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1795). It was originally named Yangshantang. It was the hall of a small number of Zhai Sect in Nantou. Buddhist temples and studios that have been established before. Afterwards, he went through more than ten abbots, but due to the record of the failure, there is no way to investigate it. According to survey data in 1941 during the Japanese occupation period, Shanjue Temple was originally called Shanyangtang and was founded during the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty (1851~1861). It was used by the army (or a police station) when the Japanese army occupied Taiwan. It was rebuilt in the 5th year of the Taisho era (1916) and joined the Soto Sect of Japan, with Chen Huinan as the manager and Zhang Xixun as the representative. In the 16th year of the Showa era (1942), the monk Dadao Master came to the abbot and was changed to the Linji Buddhism School, and used the night to organize Chinese tuition and Buddhist education for local people. The puja is held on April 8, August 8, and December 1 every year. Master Dadao, native of Changhua County, was a monk at Longquan Temple in Kaohsiung in his early years. He used to be the organizer of the Kaohsiung Buddhist Charity Institute and the Linji School Kaohsiung Buddhism Institute. He studied at Xiben Daochang in 1957 and went to Huilian. After the nuns made a vow to rebuild and move the temple site, he left the temple for him.
