★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 我是從市區肉圓店對面巷口進入的，整路上坡約150~200公尺階梯，可能更短因為太累覺得較長。幾乎都是樹蔭些許轉彎處有風，到上面是二坪冰店，之後的古道留給體力好的人吧。

Almost all of them have wind in the corners of the trees. To the top is Erping Ice Shop, and the old trails are left for those with good physical strength.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 古道在日月潭國家風景處封路維修後,路況不錯,沿途林木參天,每隔一段距離皆設標示,告知距離.
從水里街道入口到銃櫃21公路,全段2.6公里,腳程約90分鐘,對經常健走者而言,屬輕鬆級,許多人選擇從水里走到統櫃,再搭巴士回水里.
唯一有點可惜的是,很少可供遠望山谷,水里,頂崁等地的地方,換句話說,適合運動練腳力,對想賞山河大地美景者,可能會有點失望,目前油桐花正盛開中.
