★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was delicious. We went there on Mid-Autumn Festival so it was so busy that the staffs didnt know how to serve well. I think it was because it is the kind of family business so the staffs were not trainned well in high peak seasons

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This low key restaurant is a pleasant surprise. They were sorting sweet potato leaves when we entered. From our own farm they said. The greens looked firm and still very much alive.
We ordered what the owner recommended: Oolong Chicken, Bamboo Shoot Pork Belly, Bamboo Shoot Soup, and Steamed Rice in Bamboo. Naturally I asked for the fresh Sweet Potato Leaves as well. The owner recommends Bitter Tea, saying it’s fresh and the best. I didn’t follow him one that, but the dish came anyway, on the house. It was a most delightful tempura I ever had, only a touch too salty, but I think that’s in tune with the peasant style in this area.
All dishes tasted great. The soup was light and yet tasty, the pork belly so melt in mouth, tasty and well complemented by the light and crunchy bamboo shoot. Sweet potato leaves have not disappointed me and was a good as the freshest I ever had, but pale when compared to the crispy tea.
The chef, Mr Xie came out to greet us and eagerly explained the health contributing nature and biology of the plant.
