西班牙 高信隆 神父在一八八七年來到 埔羌崙建造了天主堂傳教。
距今有一二二年歷史。是一座又夯又古老的天主教堂。
這個教堂在初期是雲林、嘉義地區的中心教會。
時到今日，交通路線的改變，埔羌崙的人口不增反減，已經成為一個寂靜的小村子。
