★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The history of this restaurant is the stuff of legend. They have the original hawker bowl that lasted for 125 years, still with the magical build up of oil from their superb Danzai noodles. We enjoyed all our other dishes too. Highly recommended.

The price is very affordable, the service is very good,
You can see directly when they make the danzai mian or the braised pork rice
But the danzai mian i guess too little, even i bought the big size (price difference between big and small is pretty big)
Cannot imagine how small the portion if i bought the small size

Overall its is still very satisfying and enjoyable

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dan zai noodles was very good! Order the large one (90 TWD) as the quantity of noodles is not a lot.
Had the fried prawn rolls (虾卷) and meat balls as well. Prawn rolls was 5 stars!! Meat balls were interesting. Skin was similar to “soon kueh” skin/ thicker xiao long bao skin.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Affordable spot for their famous dan zai noodles! we ordered their pidan tofu & lu rou fan, and the bill came up to about 10USD per pax which was REALLY affordable given the amount of food + restaurant setting. dan zai noodles honestly tasted just like ramen LOL

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favourite restaurant is a small one near Tainan center ! It is quite a neat and beautiful place. From the outside, the restaurant look very impressive. There are large glass door at the front, and some benches outside for people to sit on while waiting. Inside it has lots of square brown wooden tables, each with about seven white chairs around them. The walls are painted light green, and there are many nice scenery pictures on them. The restaurant has 1 floor. The restaurant serves many Taiwan dishes.
The name of my favourite restaurant is 度小月擔仔麵 中正旗艦店 Du Hsiao Yueh Restaurant and it’s situated in the centre place of the city. I like the serves and tasty food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO EAT IN TAINAN!!! The food is absolutely delicious and the place has a nice feel to it. The staff is also very accomodating! Get the deep fried intestines, the spicy beef, the salted egg prawns and squid, and the noodle dish they are famous for (i forget the exact name)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really like Du Hsiao Yueh! This is their flagship restaurant. They serve a host of largely southern Taiwanese dishes. I particularly liked the minced meat on rice (do not know the Chinese name). They are quite popular, but they have seating for you to wait until your table is available. Parking can be an issue. Recomended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly, clean and popular restaurant. They serve traditional noodles, stir fried and appetiser. Priced averagely, depending on the type of food ordered. Love the noodle preparation open kitchen concept... if u come to Tainan, you must try this.
