★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 創設於民國元(1912)年三月八日，定名為台南女子學校，校址假台南育英堂，分校設於舊海東書院。首任校長為吉津邦喜先生(元年三月至十六年三月)。
民國十三(1924)年始遷現址。
民國十七(1928)年四月一日改為明治公學校
民國廿六年(1937)四月一曰開始男女兼收
民國卅四(1945)年十月廿五月本省光復，十二月五日梁長江接收，為光復後首任校長(民國卅四年十二月至民國卅七年二月)，並改名為台南市中區第一國民小學
民國三十六(1947)年二月一曰，改名為台南市中區光復國民學校；四月一日再改為台南市中區成功國民學校
民國五十七(1968)年六月籌建成功館(五十九年十月竣工)同年八月實施九年義務教育，奉令改為台南市中區成功國民小學
民國六十四(1975)年九月奉命辦理資賦優異兒童教育，六十五年二月成班，奠立特殊教育的里程碑，進入特殊教育的新境界
It was founded on March 8, 1912, and was named Tainan Girls’ School. The first principal was Mr. Jijin Bangxi (March of the first year to March 16).
It moved to its current location in 1924.
Renamed to Meiji Public School on April 1, 1928
In the 26th year of the Republic of China (1937), both men and women began to receive on April 1st
The province was restored on October 25th, 1945, and Liang Changjiang took over on December 5th and became the first principal after the restoration (December 34th to February 37th), and his name was changed Tainan City Central District First National Primary School
On February 1st of the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), it was renamed Tainan Central District Guangfu National School; on April 1st, it was renamed Tainan Central District Chenggong National School
In June of 1968, the Chenggong Hall was built (completed in October, 59th). In August of the same year, nine-year compulsory education was implemented, and it was ordered to be changed to Chenggong Elementary School in Central District, Tainan City
In September of 1975, it was ordered to handle education for children with outstanding talents. The class was completed in February of 1965, marking a milestone in special education and entering a new realm of special education.
