平底大鐵鍋中預先放入了大量油品，一粒一粒擺上大小一致的麵團，裡頭包著預先拌炒過的高麗菜肉餡，在介於煎與炸之間的料理過程中，依序加入幾次麵粉水，起鍋前的外皮麵香與焦糖色澤，讓人不禁食指大動。
原以為過多的油脂會讓口感油膩，但咬下水煎包外皮之後，略略酥脆的口感卻直接打破這樣的迷思，內餡的#高麗菜 存在感十足，既爽脆又能均衡其他餡料。
只是這樣不同於傳統印象的水煎包，有些人喜歡、有些人不一定喜歡。
