This place is a must to visit not only for the tourists but also for the locals and immigrants. I keep on coming back to visit because I personally find it a very relaxing and peaceful place where you can walk and think, take pictures with friends and/families or even take photos alone with the help of nice people around, a tripod or a selfie stick. In my case, the first time I visited this place, I used the walls and corners to stand my phone and set the timer so I can have some time to run the aimed background, make face and strike a pose??.(usual scene when visiting a place or travelling alone?). And because of the good feeling I experienced while inside the place, I keep coming back..with friends to share this beautiful and peaceful place and for them to experience what I felt ( hopefully they felt the same like I did though I never asked them?) If you are planning to visit, you can go to the thousand buddha first (you can count the buddhas but respect all the warning signs saying do not touch them?). Take photos and enjoy the view from the balcony above. A friendly reminder, please refrain from wearing heels shoes and boots and prepare your your legs, thighs and bottled water when going up to the buddha area, you'll understand why and you can thank me later?. There are free warm tea and water if you are observant enough to see it, just please keep the place clean as it is and thrrow your trash in the proper trash bin. After the thousand buddha, go visit the buddha hall, this time, prepare not only your feet from a long walk but also your cameras, as the sorrounding is very beautiful and instagramable?. Take your time read some of the writings around, try to participate in some events and follow how to pray for the wishes on each buddha, visit the Jade Buddha which I became emotional when i was inside to offer flowers and lighted candles ( its all free but if you have an extra, you can donate any amount), watch the 3D short movie which is 15 mins and very worth to watch ( again this is free but make sure to get your number) and then go to the biggest buddha where you can pray also. As a regular visitor?, i am always lookung forward for the events on christmas days, new year, and chinese new years. The firework displays, the different performances (Filipino group Perlas ng Silanganan has been my favorite?) and the program itself never fail to amazed me. There are also different restaurants that you can choose to eat and shops to buy souvenirs and gifts.

The bus to here can be crowded especially during weekends. There will be taxi drivers paddling for private hire to come here at NT100 per person vs NT70 per person via bus. 6 to go. You probably have to share with other passengers unless you book the whole car. That said this place is worth a visit. Especially the sleeping buddha. No photography inside allowed and you have to take off your shoes to get in. Get to the2nd and 3rd floor to look at other examples of buddha display and classrooms for buddha study. Worth coming.

N from Da Dong station it take bout 50mins by bus to reached there... U will need more then 2hrs to finish it all as the place is huge... Pay a visit to the bus shape toilet at the carpark too, it so cute...
