★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 荖濃公廨，是原住民大武壠平埔族群的重要祭祀場域，每年農曆九月十五日，是開向豐年祭典，當日下午，族人備辦供品感謝祖靈護法守護而有收成。供品，一定要有檳榔、酒與mai三樣，據說是祖靈最愛。
祭拜之後，參與者一起分享供品，結束之後已經入夜，牽曲活動便開始進行。或由於熱絡的牽曲活動都在入夜後進行，所以有了「夜祭」的名稱出現。
由於荖濃是原住民大武壠平埔族群與高山族群以物易物的所在，交流甚至通婚非常頻繁，所以祭典也受到高山族群的影響──劉還月老師說：這是無可厚非的事情。
