★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 这边是双溪汇流，新发大桥是10年前88风灾出大洪水原来桥梁被冲毁后，由中钢公司捐建。钢骨结构铁桥，设计美观，漆长淡绿色，在山中与自然融为一体。近看十分壮观。
 Here is the Shuangxi Confluence. The Xinfa Bridge was built with the donation of Sinosteel after the original bridge was destroyed by the 88 typhoon 10 years ago. The steel-framed iron bridge is beautiful in design and painted long and pale green, blending with nature in the mountains. It's very spectacular at close up.

旁邊支流有較小較淺的水流，可供孩童戲水，但是還是要大人在旁陪伴。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 非常美的桁架鋼構橋樑，是台灣橋樑少有的結構，利用大量的桁架減少基樁，對於河水氾濫沖毀橋樑有極高的預防作用，適合正在學習結構力學或是材料力學的學生來實地考察，可惜當地人及政治人物不懂橋樑和力學之美，沒有充分當作一個景點來開發，橋上空有美景卻不適合行人，有12公尺的橋面連人行道都不想給，附件也沒有良好的觀景台來觀賞此橋，充分展現台灣在地發展的窘境。
The very beautiful truss steel bridge is one of the rare structures of bridges in Taiwan. Using a large number of trusses to reduce foundation piles has a very high preventive effect on bridges being washed away by river flooding. It is suitable for students who are studying structural mechanics or material mechanics. It is a pity that local people and politicians do not understand the beauty of bridges and mechanics, and they are not fully developed as a scenic spot. The bridge has beautiful scenery but is not suitable for pedestrians. There are 12-meter bridge decks that do not even want to give sidewalks, and the annexes do not have good views. Viewing the bridge from the viewing platform fully demonstrates the dilemma of Taiwan's local development.
