★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 景福祠前身為「下街土地公」，乃相對中央街末端另外一間「頂街土地公」而得名。「頂街土地公」因光緒11年（1885年）澎湖之役，法國將領孤拔率領軍艦砲轟媽宮（馬公市舊稱）、兼之台州、廣東兵勇趁亂洗劫媽宮街坊，廟身遭兵燹之禍毀壞，戰後亦無重建。
The predecessor of Jingfu Temple was "Xiajie Di Gong", which was named after another "Dingjie Di Gong" at the end of Central Street. "Dingjie Di Gong" due to the battle of Penghu in the 11th year of Guangxu (1885), the French general Guba led a warship to bomb Ma Palace (the old name of Magong City), and Taizhou and Guangdong soldiers ransacked Ma Palace neighbourhoods during the chaos. Bingxuan was destroyed by the disaster, and there was no reconstruction after the war.
