North and South Stone Pagoda The Suogang Stone Pagoda is located in the north of the old settlement in Magong City. It was rebuilt in 1991, changing the original black stone construction to black stone cement material. It was originally a seven-layered stone tower, but it was rebuilt and changed to nine stories, making it the tallest stone tower in Penghu, about 14 meters high. It is composed of the South Tower and the North Tower. It is nearly three stories high. It is a conical tower made of nine-story stepped black stones. It is one of the most uncharacteristic in appearance of the Penghu stone tower. There was a high hill above the stone tower. It was originally the backer of the community, but it gradually disappeared due to the strong northeast monsoon. So a proverb appeared, "A mountain is locked in the harbor, and a bay is in the water of the pig mother". The sand dunes in the community were blown to the harbour of the pig mother water (landscape), so two large stone towers were added to the original site of the hill to compensate for the damage caused by Feng Shui.
