A very significant monument building. The architectural style combines Baroque and traditional eaves, symbolizing the encounter, conflict and coordination of cultures in this process. Being at the back of Pingtung Tiangong Temple, it is indeed easy to be overlooked, but this building provides future generations of Hakka children with a research direction for inheritance and traceability. Inside this building, there are traces of various calligraphy carved fonts. Those who are interested in writing and calligraphy should not miss it. And currently, digital retention is also used to allow visitors to scan the QR code through their mobile phones to view the contents of the collection. There are also guide narrators here who are eager to explain. If the time is right, there is still a chance to experience some combined photography activities. It is said that this place is also a good place for many newcomers to choose wedding dresses. If you want to choose a place with a combination of Chinese and Western styles and retro style, you can still consider here.

The Ancestral Hall of Ancestral Hall is a three-bay building, with wing rooms on the left and right and a water-passing corridor. In front of the entrance of the Ancestral Hall, you can see the mixture of Western angels in European style and traditional Chinese animal lion sculptures. It feels very special. The Zongshenggong Temple was built in 1929. At that time, Taiwanese temple craftsmen Chen Yufeng and Ye Jinwan, and mainland Guangdong craftsman Su Binting and other heavyweight masters were hired personally, regardless of the carvings, paintings, murals, and Jiaozhi pottery of the building inside and outside the public temple. They all come from their handwritings, such as the Cochin pottery on the door of the water gallery, the double dragon sculpture on the gable, and so on. In short, the entire building is a work of art, whether it is on the walls, pillars, ceilings, door gods, plaques..., they all have high artistic value and appreciation, which is truly breathtaking. In addition, the calligraphy in Zongshenggong Shrine is very impressive, and there are rare bamboo leaf scripts.

Although I came here because of the need for a report, I was surprised by the architectural style here. It combines Chinese Southern Fujian-style architecture and Western Baroque style. There is also an enthusiastic brother who will take us to guide us. It really is not. Imaginary trip ?

Like a temple hidden in the outskirts of the city In addition to the exquisite craftsmanship that the traditional ancestral halls of southern Fujian cannot lack The exquisite and grandiose gatehouse and the overall quiet gray tone also make people's eyes bright The extensive use of RC structure and Western decoration was quite avant-garde at the time Although I knew from the map that there was a public shrine here But the feeling of getting goose bumps in that gate building for the first time is really unspeakable...

Pingtung City Zongsheng Gong Temple was built in 1927 and designated as a historic building by the Pingtung County Government in 2002. It integrates the layout of Hakka dwellings, traditional temple decoration, and Western architectural styles during the Japanese occupation period. It is of great preservation and promotion value. Zongshenggong Temple fully expresses the ideological characteristics of Hakka people's home architecture, with the north facing south, the second hall and two horizontal houses; the back of the hall is a backer, the head dragon under the seat of the shrine in the hall, the court, the front hall, the gate tower, and the Banyue Pond until Wannian Stream, strung into a complete axis, presents the traditional Hakka people's feng shui concept. The space of Zongshenggong Temple shows the three-world view of the traditional courtyard, worshiping gods in the courtyard and ancestors in the main hall, and the left and right wing rooms shelter the descendants of the six families, so that they can have a place to rest when they come to Pingtung. In the oral interview materials of later generations, there are still many interesting stories of Zeng's descendants who took up residence in the Zongsheng Temple when they were studying in the past. Ancestral Hall. Such Hakka space and concepts also appear in the Tingzhou Guild Hall in Tamsui Yinshan Temple built by Hakka immigrants in Tingzhou. source: Copyright by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of China Copyright Pingtung County Government Cultural Office
