★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little place, downtown but in the backstreets. Seevice is quick and friendly, even for a non-Taiwanese. My first visit so I went with seared salmon on rice, but I should have explored as all the dishes looked great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited that restaurant for the bonito; unfortunately they were not serving that today.
The real disappointment, though, came when we discovered that the restaurant wasn't really clean (e.g. the mans' sink), but, especially when we found a piece of he dishwashing steel mesh in the food we had ordered.

They don't have an English menu, but the friendly staff, with a good English, will explain you and give you advice. The Udon and the fried pork were simply excellent and the draft Ashali beer and the free black the drink were also good. Very good choice for your dinner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A pretty decent Japanese restaurant in Hualien. The environment is cozy and the service is friendly and efficient. The food is nicely presented and the flavorful. Price is reasonable. A great place for a good meal and a comfortable rest from all the sight seeing. One of the few good sit down place for lunch in Hualien. Another big plus, free WiFi.
