public hot spring area is much better than private pool. dont forget to bring ur swimming suit.

Look, we came here for the hot springs and ended up staying overnight since we were tired. Dont do it! The good: we enjoy sulfery hot water. The bad: we enjoy sulfery hot water for body soaking. The only sulfer we smelled was the water in our room. The bathroom was disgusting by any standard. All moving parts; faucets, door handles etc. covered in corrosion. I hesitated to use the toilet (it was that bad) but that poor thing needed the cleansing of my personal defication - if you know what I mean.? Actually the 'porcelain bowl' under the discoloration begged me for death, but I'm Buddhist and could not accomodate the request. Actually the entire room was infected with years of neglect and miserable housekeeping. Other reviews complain of mosquitos but I felt the bed bugs were worse; inescapable and invisible. I put twisted kleenex in my ears to make sure i didnt end up giving birth to some brain eating mutant-sulfer-super-bug weeks later. At least you can hear the mosquitos dive bombing your exposed face...until you fall comatose from the sheer exhaustion of scratching the bed bug bites all night. It doesnt stop the flying blood suckers from leeching your legs though, when the covers slide off in the wee hours of the morning. (see pics) Sleeping was a non-event as sound proofing is only as good as your noise cancelling headphones. No curtains to block light from the hallway either. A shame since a good sleep is essential after a relaxing rooftop soak. We were on an upper floor and got stuck between floors in the elevator that blew a circuit. We hit the emergency buzzer and then could hear frantic breaker switching happening. Then Clunk! Our Vertical coffin jerked back to life. We opted for healthy exercise from then on. Last time a few years ago the pools were hot and uniquely old...it felt very natural and calming. Now its been "updated" and reflects nothing of tradition, even if that was Japanese occupation. We were told the update was due to government interference and restricted water usage. It really not the same anymore. It had become a kids water park by my standards so if you dont mind the screaming and unbehaved little ones disturbing the peace then by all means bring yours and enjoy. We wont be back, but other Hot Springs are much more civilized and cleaner. Ruisui anyone?

I stayed here 5 times before with various room types. This is one of the best hot spring hotels in Taiwan. I would give this hotel five star if they improve their room condition.

I have a wonderful experience..when i go there ... This place is the place you must not missed to stay or bath The place is worth for every penny The staff is so friendly and helpful, food is greet all yummy. From breakfast to dinner. Love the Spa..

Good facilities for spa relaxation. Enough pools to explore and dip. They have onsen facility too. We were on a cycling trip and needed to soak in hot spring recuperation. Everything was good but the bed was a let down.Both me and boy got had bed bug bites over the night! Not acceptable for a hotspring resort! I would give 4.5 stars if they clear the bed bugs.

The hotel is a jewel far away from a big city. The therapeutic properties of the hot spring water are, unfortunately, still unknown. Enjoy not a lavish dinner, but hearty home cooking. Very friendly staff. I hope there are more options in transportation to get there. Very close to the harbor where you can get the best from the catch of the day. The best seafood I had ever experience in Taiwan. Yet the prices were a bargain. Unbelievable.

I love this place. Got there around midday and had the whole outdoor hot spring to ourselves. We also tried the private/personal bath but the outdoor is the best. The bathroom/change room is old but clean. Toilet were squat ones (not a fan) but overall this hot spring place is pretty relaxing and a must try. $350NTW per person but you can use all their hot spring facility.
