★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wandered in here for lunch as the place down the road was closed. The rice dish I got was pretty good then saw they also served beer. For some reason its common in taipei to have a big display of alcohol but stock only about 2 or 3 of them. I really don't get this. If you don't have it then take it off display. They only had 55th Street & at 200NT they're definitely charging more than average compared to other cafes for this beer. When they brought me the beer it was in a small glass that was only 3/4 full but didn't leave the bottle on the table so I could pour myself the rest. This is the first place I've been where they set down a glass of beer without the beer bottle. They clearly thought I was too stupid to realize they didn't serve me the whole bottle of beer. Considering 200nt is already overpriced for a bottle of 55th St they completely ripped me off by not serving me the whole bottle. Disrespecting & ripping customers off like that is not the way to go if you want repeat business.

The environment is truely nice as well as comfortable and service is also so good.
I really recommend this caf'e and I will probably vistit here next time. :-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not sure what's going on with this place. Came in alone on a weekday afternoon, just wanted some pastry or a snack and a few minutes to relax. I was the only customer in the place and the boss was alone. The dessert case had absolutely nothing in it and the boss said they were "all sold out" of desserts. I ordered the cheapest, quickest thing on the menu, which was a cheese/egg toast set for $200 (bit steep, I thought) and it still took well over 15 minutes to prepare. It was adequate, but certainly not a great meal. The place gave the impression of being on the verge of closing down, but maybe it was just an off day?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered brown sugar latte both times. Yum! Although I still don't know much about coffee, you can really tell that the people here are passionate about it. They roast the beans in the store, and make note of each customer's orders. My only issue is that voices seem to amplify in the space, so I'm forced to eavesdrop on the next table's conversation despite having my airpods on noise cancelling.
