★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wasn't sure what the signature noodle dish (NT$90) came with, but it was quite plain. Looks vegetarian friendly, however. If you like vinegar, give it a try. The beef roll (NT$110) was just okay.
Staff seemed imposing of their views. Baby seat was missing a seat belt, so our tiny companion kept trying to climb out of it.

Very similar menu, ordered 花素餡餅 and loved it.
Simple and tasty.
Just what we were looking for.
牛雜湯 was very good too, flavorful.
Wish they have 抓餅 and 雞絲拉皮 here too.
Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty good business at lunch time. Old restaurant that kept the old flavors which meant high sodium! The noodles were al dente, good texture, but the sauce lacked flavors, just salty. The beef pancake roll, delicious pancake, but with dry flavorless beef slice. The green beans porridge was the only thing I liked. Even the boiled cabbage was ruined by having really salty sauce on top?. What a pity!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This spots has your typical northern mainland Chinese flavor. The beef cake/pie is probably the die-for. The hand-made noodles are really unique. They are extra “chewy” and I personally enjoyed it. Flavor-wise it was a bit plain. I wish they added more sauce to the noodle. Overall I don’t think it’s the best northern Chinese food but it’s certainly worth checking out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you've ever been to AJ's in Rockville Maryland or , San Jose, California, this is their original store. They also have locations in Shanghai and Beijing.
They serve northern Chinese comfort food such as noodles, dumplings, porridge, and a variety of side dishes. If you've never had Northern Chinese food, then its definitely worth a visit. And if you have had it, then no further introduction is needed. Everything is good here. If you are a vegetarian, they have many good vegetarian options. Just ask the Server for help.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I walked in looking for a quick snack, only got the beef pastry/pie (牛肉餡餅) and WOW was I blown away.
The dough crust on the outside, is just the perfect thickness and crispness. When you take the first bite, be care of the hot juices from the beef filling! With each bite I took, the juices would be dripping out. Absolutely delicious!
The beef pastry/pie (牛肉餡餅) is $50 NTD as of April 2022.
