The temple has a long history. The main worship is Baosheng the Great, also commonly known as the genius Daogong, and the apse also enshrines the Buddhas such as Guan Sheng and Wenheng. Incense is also very prosperous and effective. It is the only oldest Dao Gong temple in Tainan.

The depth direction is the Sanchuan Hall (hard top, worship hall, main hall, apse hall).
The side door god is thirty-six official generals, with meticulous brushwork.
It is a pity to paint on the wooden structure, and it needs cleaning and maintenance.
In temples dedicated to Dao Gong, you can feel the sense of integration between the temple and ordinary people's lives (various lectures, free consultations, etc.). The temple has a quarterly publication that contains not only the annual rituals, but also the historical evolution of the surrounding environment. I saw in the temple that the quarterly publications introduced the Xingji Palace and Kaishan Shrine during the Japanese Occupation Period. I have watched the video on YouTube in the past. I sincerely hope that the Tainan Temple Fair will return to the dignity and solemnity of the past...

Located at the right of the old Guanyin Pavilion in Zhenbeifang in the old days, it worships the Emperor Baosheng. It is said that the Xingji Palace in Taiwan was built during the Dutch or Zheng Period. It is considered to be the earliest Dao Gong Temple built in Taiwan. Because of the different names, it is also called Zhenjun Temple or Kaishan Palace; however, it is generally called the Dingdao Gong Temple, and is different from the Liang Palace in Xia Avenue Gong Temple (located at No. 30-40, Fuqian Road, Tainan City).
Emperor Baosheng was known for his brilliant medical skills and high morals when he was born; after he became an emperor, he was regarded as a medical god who could cure all diseases. In the thirteenth year of the Peony Society incident in Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty, Minister Shen Baozhen was ordered to deal with Taiwan's defense. Kaishan Fufan went deep into the wilderness and stayed with gangsters all day long. Officers and soldiers came to Fucheng to pray for the Emperor Lingyou if they were infected by the disease. The Qincha Fufu even ordered the magistrates to burn incense on the first and the fifteenth, and to offer sacrifices in the spring and autumn, so the incense of Xingji Palace flourished.
Xingji Palace sits north to south and is adjacent to Daguanyin Pavilion. It is a temple structure with two entrances and three entrances. There is a wide vestibule in front of the temple. After the road is opened, the front hall is next to the road with stairs. In the front hall, there are a pair of stone lions with dragons and pillars. The carvings and shapes are very special, which is different from ordinary temples. Although there is a worship hall in front of the main hall, it is integrated with the front hall, and the interior space looks gloomy, which virtually strengthens the supreme prestige of the emperor Baosheng. The main hall is dedicated to the Emperor Baosheng, and on both sides are the apprentices of Jiang Xianguan and Zhang Xinzhe. The legendary Tiger Emperor who was saved by the Emperor Baosheng and became the mount of the emperor is also worshipped under the Divine Case. "Xiatan General." According to the temple survey records of the Republic of China for 48 years (1959), these four statues were all made of clay, which may be the first batch of statues when the temple was created. The left side of the main hall is now the office space in the temple. Since the original space in the hall is mostly occupied by sacrifices and magical instruments, it is slightly narrow and urgent. In addition to the common furnishings in the temple, such as incense burners, light lamps, money boxes, kneeling pads, and monasteries, the medicine sticks dedicated to the Emperor of Health are obviously one of the biggest features of the hall. Now the medicine sticks in the hall are divided into pediatrics, Internal medicine, ophthalmology, surgery and other projects, compared with the past without division, Xingji Palace used to be an ordinary outpatient clinic, but now it is like a general hospital. This also shows that the Dao Gong Temple is a kind of society. change. The most impressive and dazzling thing after entering the Xingji Palace is the plaques of all dynasties that are full behind the entrance and above the pavilion. Maybe it is the incense of the incense, or the relationship between the lights, or it may be the disorder caused by too many plaques. It is really unclear why the amount on the forehead.

Built in 1679 AD, Xingji Palace, commonly known as Dao Gong Temple, is adjacent to the Grand Guanyin Pavilion. It worships Baosheng the Great. It is the oldest monument on the bustling Chenggong Road and the largest official site in the Ming and Zheng period. Build Baosheng Temple. At present, the two temples still retain the official hall where the officials and people who came to worship at that time changed their clothes and rest. It is connected to the two temples by octagonal doors. It is a rare temple in Taiwan that still has an official hall.
Dao Gong Temple is famous for its medicine lotus. According to legend, during the prefect of the mountain, the Qing soldiers often entered the undeveloped mountain area and became infected with miasma. Therefore, it became a temple that must come to pray for safety before entering the mountain. Many officers and soldiers did not develop medicine at that time. I came here to ask for medicine swabs to cure illnesses, and later it proved to be effective, which made Dadao Gong medicine swabs flourish at that time, and there are still many drug swabs displayed in the temple. In addition to the medicine swabs, there is also a rare treasure here, the large-scale Baosheng Emperor God Talisman Edition, which is regarded as the most exquisite printmaking. The original is currently in the collection of the National Museum of Taiwan History, and a replica has been made and stored in the temple. .

On the first day of the Lunar New Year in the Year of the Tiger, the female volunteer with short hair and a blue vest who talked to me at the entrance of the Baosheng Temple had a very poor service attitude. The staff inside said you could go outside to put incense, but the volunteer outside said no. What is the reason for the inconsistency between your statements, and I said that you should agree with the inside and outside, and said that if you are too lazy to speak, you can post a notice, and then she walked away rudely. The Tiangong Temple on Zhongyi Road and the Guanyin Pavilion next door do not have this problem. , and the female volunteers clearly know that they can't quarrel during the new year, and they are still in the first day of the new year.
If you love your mouth so much, you are not suitable to be a volunteer at all, just rest at home and don't have to come out and ruin people's luck for the whole year

Completed in the thirty-third year of Ming Yongli (1679), the cultural relics have 25 plaques, 4 couplets, and 3 steles.
There are only 13 plaques photographed, and all 4 couplets have been photographed. The only one photographed is the stele behind the gate of the Thirty-six Officials. It is difficult to identify which side it is...
It is said that among the 13 plaques I photographed, one of them "can protect me" aroused my high interest, and out of curiosity, I found the following information:
Can you protect me / Tongyue in the sixth year of Guangxu / Wang Shijie, a tribute student
Variation of "Yi"
㕥 can: really can
protect: protect
Tongyue: March
Gongsheng: Student of the Imperial College in the Qing Dynasty
It is said that there were Sui Gong, Bao Gong, Engong, Deputy Gong, You Gong, Li Gong and Military Gong Gong in the Qing Dynasty, but the "official tribute" could not be found.
It is deduced that "professional tribute students" should refer to the post-Qianlong tribute students who have only a false name in the post-Qianlong examinations, who have not entered the prefecture, prefecture, county school, or a girl who is on the right path to the imperial examinations, but who want to take the township examination or become an official, and who donate money to get a regular prison background.
Wang Shijie: Who are you? But it is definitely not the golden-headed shell Wang Shijie who was drafted. The difference between the two is more than 200 years.
Experience report:
The official script inscription with "㕥" written as "㕥", and the left and right inscriptions of advertisement fonts use visual sense to create an eye-catching effect, so Xiaoxiaozhigongsheng's plaque is hung in an officially certified temple, a marketing master a hundred years ago lol
