It's really wide and quiet and beautiful. It was so wide that I couldn't look back half of there. I stayed at the hotel behind the lake, and the hotel staff recommended me to go there. If I hadn't gone, I would have really regretted it.

Chengcing Lake is a beautiful green respite from all the hustle and bustle of Kaohsiung. Access is free to those with a citizenship or ARC card. Simply display it to the guard at the gate and you can drive/motorcycle/bike/walk through the park. There are parking lots within the park so that you may access the different footpaths surrounding the lake. They also have YouBike stations so you may bike around as well. They also have multiple well-maintained restrooms for public use. There are many points of interest surrounding the lake, all with their own unique flare. Bring some food, or buy from a couple of the businesses inside, sit down, and enjoy the fresh scent and quietness. They also have a BBQ area with innumerable fire pits if you wish to bring some food and cook it close to the bank of the lake. Simply pay the fee at the front gate. This is a wonderful place for people looking for an easy walk/hike, people wanting to get away from all the busyness, or for family and friends to enjoy a picnic.

A good place for a stroll close to the city. Lots of trees around the lake with walking trails. Very easy to spend a few hours walking around.
