公元一八五三年，元長庄民合資於現此建廟奉祀，並承續芙蓉故里『鰲峯宮』之宮名，為『元長鰲峯宫』。
鎮殿開基保生大帝『篾片軟身雕像』西元一四一九年明成祖封保生『昊天闕御史慈濟醫靈妙道真君萬壽無極保生大帝』。軟式神像，為明成祖依據保生大帝顯化形象所製作，共有三尊。鰲峯宫開基雕像，是全台灣少見的篾片軟身神像，實在難得一見，確屬無價之寶。而大陸祖廟保生大帝二尊篾片軟身神像，已不知去向，使得本宫鎮殿軟身保生大帝，更顯得彌足珍貴。

In 1853 AD, Yuanchang Villagers jointly built a temple here for worship, and inherited the name of the palace "Aofeng Palace" in Furong's hometown as "Yuanchang Aofeng Palace".
The town hall opened the foundation of the Baosheng emperor's "sticky piece soft body statue" in 1419, the Ming Chengzu Feng Baosheng "Haotianque Yushi Tzu Chi Medical Magic Tao Zhenjun Wanshou Wuji Baosheng Great". The soft statues were made by Ming Chengzu based on the manifested image of Emperor Baosheng. There are three statues in total. The foundation statue of Aofeng Palace is a rare statue of a soft-bodied statue of a piece of bamboo in Taiwan. It is really rare to see, and it is indeed a priceless treasure. However, the two soft-body statues of Emperor Baosheng in the Ancestral Temple of the Mainland have nowhere to be found, making the Emperor Baosheng in the town hall of the main palace even more precious.

He has been taken care of by the emperor since he was a child. It is a very important local belief in Yuanchang. The magnificent architecture and mural design in the temple are also worth watching. If there are tourists visiting nearby, you can enter the temple to feel the warmth and compassion of the emperor.
