It’s just like a little Japan here. Authentic Japanese food. Best with friends and coworkers for drinks and late dinner.

Good sake selection. Food was also quite good. You get a booth so it's nice and private. Staff is polite and helpful.

It used to be my pocket list but no more. Guess they change the ownership or chef? BBQ is not as good and too pricey. Waited forever for one item to come. Every is very salty and drinks are bad.

the atmosphere is really really fabulous!!!!! this my second time to visit the restaurant, I love the fired chicken and plum wine, the service is great, in which the waitress can speak Japanese , it is a good option for inviting your Japan friends. It is between Zhongshan MRT and Songjiang Najing MRT. it takes 5-8 mins walk~ In a word, please call the reservation and enjoy your dinner :)

They allowed smoking in the restaurant which is illegal! Yes, we complained, the waitress on our floor (2nd) just pretended that she didn't understand. We then had to quickly leave and complained to the cashier as we made the payment. I also asked her to go upstairs and tell the Japanese customers to stop smoking as it is illegal. The Japanese customers walked in and came upstairs with cigarettes in their hands without being stopped, which to me meant that the restaurant allowed it. Hence, the one star. Food wise, it would have been 3 stars, average, low CP. Ambience was good because of the many private seating rooms available (not totally private, hence, the cigarette smoke). Service was good. Another thing that I felt offended by was no Chinese menu, all in Japanese. I do read Japanese, but, the restaurant has been doing business in Taipei for 20+ years and the owner doesn't feel that the Taiwanese customers deserve to have Chinese menu available? Do u think a Taiwanese restaurant in Tokyo would be accepted by its customers if it only has Chinese menu?

Authentic Japanese dining experience here as the staff speaks the language and the menu is also in Japanese. The dining area sits over three separate levels, take note of the steep staircase that can be a tad bit challenging for the old (we came along with our parents who were in their 70s). Each level has different sized partitions for the size of the dining group (2 vs 4 vs 6 etc).it's great and cosy, fantastic for catching up with friends where the chat can matter just as equally important as the meal. Don't worry about having to sit with legs folded on the floor, the more forgiving version of a sunken foot area provides relief. What I loved the most about this place was the attentive, friendly and warm service. I e of the male service staff, seeing that I had to balance carrying my half-asleep 3+yr old son alongside with shopping bags, immediately assisted me in carrying my son. Service continued to be highly attentive throughout the time we were there. Food wise, the mackerel was good, and so was the tofu. Everything else was above average and not necessarily outstanding, but nonetheless, it was still a very positive experience.

Wonderful restaurant if your bag is Japanese bbq and beer! Fresh seafood and ice cold draft beer. Feels like Tokyo in Taipei. You will not be disappointed!

Very disappointed. Food was not well prepared and menu was changed. I bet chief was changed, too. Skewer was supposed to be on the stick! I asked clerk twice, clerk promised “skewer was charcoal grill, just put on a hard plate.” But the so called “skewer” was cooked and immersed with spicy source. NO WAY! Waited for 45 minutes before the first dishes was served. The grilled squid was served in cold! Totally waste the money to dine here.
