★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came to Crystal Spoon after a visit to Bangkok, and I have to say that this restaurant is not authentic. The pineapple rice is lacking in flavour, and the Thai spring rolls are so salty that I had to ask for sweet sauce to counteract barely bearable taste. For the two dishes, I paid $800 NT, a price that was the same as an all-you-can-eat place with three times the quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The fish (steamed bassfish) was good. The Basil pork was not spicy enough although we told the staff that we wanted very spicy. The vegetables was not bad. The staff was somewhat attentive. However I noticed that they tend to touch the glass on the rim with their hands and this may be viewed as unhygienic. The ambience is not bad. Price is quite reasonable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The coconut fried rice was good. For sure. The pad Thai (yah I'm basic, I order pad Thai and fried rice, eh?) was bland and boring and I'd get something else next time. I'd say it was overpriced but the decor and location alerts you to that fact. Service was good. It's not amazing. 3.5 stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm not super familiar with authentic Thai food but every dish we had was delicious--shrimp cakes, fried bass, stir fry noodles, clam vermicelli, lamb lollipops. Staff were friendly and attentive to our allergies. This is a great alternative to the other restos in the mall where you have to queue but not here.
