I was learning with different instructor before and I was very confused , aslo didnt feel i was in a good hand at all .... with Donny I felt completely safe , he knows what he is talking about and what he is doing , he makes things clear and easy to understand , freedive could be an intimidate experience for beginners like me , fortunately Donny is extremely patient and encourage ! on top of that , there was no compromises when it comes to safety ,which I think is very very important . Im very glad I did the course with Donny and Im sure I will go back to practice more with him , highly recommended !!

If you are curious about free diving, I highly recommend to try it. After thinking about it for a year, I finally took AIDA 2 the end of October. I enjoyed it so much that I came back for AIDA 3 just a month later. AIDA 2 is a great way to get introduced to free diving while AIDA 3 helps you further improve your technique. I chose to learn free diving with Donny based on the other reviews and can confirm he is an excellent instructor and a great guy. First and foremost, he puts safety above everything else. It is so critical to build the right habits from the beginning and Donny ensures that this happens. Second, he is very patient and knows how to encourage and help you through the learning process. Finally, he is highly experienced and can tell you exactly what you need to work on to improve your technique. All in all, Donny is an outstanding choice if you are looking to truly learn free diving the proper way.

I had the opportunity to complete the Level 1 Freediving course with Donny at Freedive Taiwan during December 2021 and could not have had a better experience. From the beginning of the process, Donny’s attentiveness and responsiveness helped me sort out the logistics of quick payment, lodging, and transportation with ease. Upon arrival, he greeted me at the harbor and gave me a quick intro to the Islands amenities/services as we headed to my hotel. Throughout the course, Donny was patient, explained the material well and in multiple ways so it was easy to comprehend, and was encouraging. Great coach and made the course fun and relaxing while prioritizing safety the whole time. We even finished the course early and instead of saving his time, he offered to either do a Yoga/Breathwork session and/or a fun dive session to round out the long weekend (I don’t think this is typical and instead depends on the pace of the course participants). The course was great, the instructor was great, the location was great. Put all three together and you cant ask for much more. If you’re considering taking a freediving course in Taiwan, this is where to go.

I recommend going to Donny for a freediving certification if you are looking for professionalism, honest and sincere feedback, and an overall enjoyable and all around good experience. This was my first time freediving and he taught the classroom material throughly while also having a calm demeanor and focus on safety to guide us when we were out in the water. The breath holds and focus on technique can be stressful while out deep. I think they require patience from an instructor and Donny was patient and gave feedback that was useful and allowed us to improve and better our dives each time. I recommend Donny's class to people who are serious about wanting to experience the world of freediving.

Have been wanting to learn freediving this past year, after some research for schools and instructors around the island. I chose to get certified through Donny at Freedive Taiwan. Can't agree more with all the reviews. If you want to have a professional, safe experience learning the techniques from a great coach and about the world of freediving in English in Taiwan, you don't have to look further.
