★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking to rent a bike to take around the lake, do yourself a favor and come here. They have a variety of bicycles to rent for the casual cyclist to seasoned vets. Very friendly and helpful staff. They also print out a certificate for you with your picture if you cycle around the entire lake. Can not recommend more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Giant Bicycles has several models of fantastic road bikes. We rented two quality road bikes with ultegra components and one electric bike and did a lap around Sun Moon Lake (1.5 hours with a couple stops to take in the view). Best road bike shop at the lake and we were only charged for one hour (500 NTD each). Good deals on cycling kits also.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me and my bf came to the shop quite close to the closing hour, around 4:30pm. And yet, the staffs were very friendly and nice. They gave us extra 10 mins added up to 1 hour in the coupon we had. Showed us the trail carefully and also gave us bike locks.
I looked around and saw our bikes were in the best conditions compared to the other shops. Thus, they're smoother and definitely comfortable. While other shops offer more hours, I find it unnecessary if you don't plan to go around the whole lake. I followed the CNN-selected trail and the timing fitted perfectly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down the best and only bike rental you ever need to consider when you visit Sun Moon Lake. The staff is amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely do the cycling around the lake again — on their bike.
