★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hehuanshan North Peak is located at the west boundary of Taroko National Park, at an altitude of 3422 meters. It is the highest peak of Hehuan Mountain Group, the 32nd of "100 Peaks of Taiwan".
The one-kilometer slope along the ridgeline from the trailing edge near the Xiaofengkou is slightly steep.
Close to the top of the ridgeline, a giant reflector is erected, which is the most obvious sign of the Hehuanshan North Peak.Afterwards, the view is getting wider and wider, and sometimes you can enjoy the clouds rolling over the valley. The best view is on the top of the peak. It is suitable for enjoying the sunrise and sunset.
It took us about 1 hour and 40 min to reach the top of the peak.
Remember to apply the mount pass in advance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome trail with spectacular views. The trail is well kept and about 0.5K from the service center. I suggest allowing about 3-4 hours round trip. The ascent is steep, however, you will want to stop and take pictures to allow you some rest breaks. I highly recommend this hike, the views are beautiful. This hike is not for persons that are not in good physical shape.
