臺南市官田區嘉南國小學校主網站。 嘉南國小之前身，為創設於日治時期大正11年4月（西元1922年）的「六甲尋常高等小學校」。35年，首任校長林文斷先生自日本人手中接收，稱為官田鄉第三國民學校，57年改稱嘉南國民小學。

校內廁所會鎖起來，但學校停車場旁有一個公共廁所，很貼心

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 人數少，環境清幽，遠離市區，且是日本的姊妹校，因校長本身對教育有熱忱，且積極鼓勵學生參與當地的藝文活動，經常到校外表演，甚至遠赴日本.....
唯一的缺點也是因為人數少，課業上的競爭或許不如一般學校激烈，但若希望讓小孩享受童年，慢慢的成長茁壯，這裡是個很好的地方.
